Meet our Speakers

Her Excellency the Honourable Frances Adamson AC

We are honoured to welcome Her Excellency the Honourable Frances Adamson AC, Governor of South Australia, as a guest speaker at the Women in Clubs Luncheon.

Her Excellency has enjoyed an outstanding career in public service and diplomacy. A graduate of the University of Adelaide, where she became the first female captain of the university’s rowing club in its 103-year history, she joined the Department of Foreign Affairs in 1985 and went on to serve in a range of senior roles, including Australia’s Ambassador to China from 2011–2015.

In 2016, Her Excellency was appointed Secretary of the Department of Foreign Affairs and Trade, leading Australia’s international engagement during a period of significant global change while championing greater opportunities for women in senior leadership.

In June 2021, she was appointed the 36th Governor of South Australia and was made a Companion of the Order of Australia for eminent service to public administration and the advancement of Australia’s diplomatic, trade and cultural interests.

We are privileged to welcome Her Excellency to share her leadership insights and experiences with our Women in Clubs community.

Rebecca and Lucy - Bremerton Wines

We are delighted to welcome sisters Rebecca and Lucy Willson, the dynamic duo behind Bremerton Wines.

As the first sisters in Australia to run a winery together, Rebecca and Lucy have built more than a successful wine label, they have created a true sense of place. Bremerton reflects their family’s deep connection to the region and their commitment to producing exceptional wines that are rich in character and made to be shared.

Their passion for hospitality shines through in every bottle – wines designed to be enjoyed with great food, lively conversation and plenty of laughter.

Beyond the vineyard, Rebecca and Lucy bring a unique perspective as sisters in business and as busy mums balancing family life, with both husbands also in the wine industry. As you can imagine, vintage season in their households is a story in itself.

With warmth, humour and authenticity, the Willson sisters will share insights into family business, leadership, resilience and what it truly means to build something together.
