Welcome - Barossa United Football Club
Clubs SA is pleased to welcome Barossa United Football Club as a new member. Based in Nuriootpa, Barossa United has been part of the Barossa community since 1989, when the club began with a small group of children playing football (soccer). Since then, it has grown into a thriving club with a strong connection to the Barossa community.
Football is truly a global game, and Barossa United brings that international passion for soccer to the heart of the Barossa. The club continues to experience record growth, with more than 400 members in 2025, including a large U6 Development Squad, 27 junior teams, one senior women’s team and a senior men’s team. The junior program includes U8, U10, U12, U14 and U17 girls’ teams, providing plenty of opportunities for young players to get involved and enjoy the game.
After generations of Barossa United committees advocated for improved facilities, grants from the Australian Government and Barossa Council helped kick-start the redevelopment of the club’s precinct. The new synthetic pitch was completed in 2022, followed by a new clubroom, changerooms, car park and canteen, all completed in early 2025.
The redevelopment has created a fantastic new home for players, families, coaches and supporters, providing modern facilities to support the club’s continued growth.
With its strong community spirit, growing junior program and connection to the wider football community through Football SA, Barossa United is helping bring the world game to the Barossa.
If you’re in the area, be sure to drop by and support the club and the stars of the future!
