Clubs SA is pleased to welcome Padel Athletic as a new Silver Corporate Partner, bringing an innovative opportunity for clubs to activate underutilised spaces, diversify revenue and attract new audiences.

Padel Athletic brings two of the world’s fastest-growing sports, padel and pickleball, to Australian clubs. Through its innovative “Club in a Club” model, Padel Athletic funds, builds and operates padel and pickleball facilities on underutilised club land, including bowling greens, tennis courts, car parks and undeveloped areas.

For clubs, this creates the opportunity to generate additional rental or profit-share income and increase foot traffic, without having to fund the development or take on the day-to-day operation of the facility.

What Padel Athletic Offers Clubs

Padel Athletic provides an end-to-end solution, including:

• Free feasibility assessment to determine whether a site is suitable
• Capital investment covered by Padel Athletic
• Flexible commercial arrangements, including leases, licences and profit-share models
• End-to-end project management, including development applications and council approvals where required
• Full day-to-day management and operation of the facility
• The opportunity to attract new demographics, with 76% of padel players under the age of 50

One of Padel Athletic’s current projects is Club Matto at Matraville RSL in NSW, where two derelict tennis courts are being revitalised into a new padel club featuring four super panoramic doubles courts, a new clubhouse, amenities and social space. The facility is scheduled to open in December 2026.
