Positive Duty to Prevent Sexual Harassment
Clubs that have at least one employee have a positive duty under the Sexual Discrimination Act 1985 (Cth) to prevent workplace sexual harassment, sex discrimination and victimisation from occurring in their workplace. Purely volunteer run clubs still have a duty of care to prevent harassment and discrimination from occurring at their Club.
