About Clubs SA
Founded in 1919, Clubs SA is a not-for-profit organization dedicated to representing and supporting licensed clubs across South Australia. These Clubs, which range from small volunteer-run sporting groups to large community organizations, operate to serve their members and the public by offering services such as liquor sales, community events, and social engagement. Clubs exist to promote core purposes like sporting activities, veterans’ welfare, and recreation, while also providing valuable employment and fostering community ties.
Although a small percentage of Clubs SA members hold gaming machine licenses, Clubs SA itself does not own or operate gaming machines, nor does it receive funding from gaming activities.
What We Do
Clubs SA is committed to creating smarter and safer Clubs that thrive in their communities. We provide tailored information, support, and advice to our members, offering industry updates, training, skills development, and representation to government and other key stakeholders. Our services cover a range of essential topics including governance, compliance, operations, income generation, workplace relations, and community engagement.
Additionally, we host networking events, seminars, and our annual Clubs SA Clubs and Community Awards to recognise and celebrate the achievements of local clubs within South Australia.

Through our Corporate Partner and Supporter program, we offer businesses the opportunity to engage with the Club sector, fostering growth and creating valuable partnerships. As an active member of Clubs Australia, we ensure our members’ interests are represented both locally and nationally.
